Bigstrup Farm - Buckinghamshire

Kate & Ollie’s wedding day began in the pretty little village of Ickford in Buckinghamshire. It was set to be a very classic British summer wedding - meaning it was either gorgeous sunshine or torrential rain, with absolutely no in-between.

After spending the morning combining the roles of wedding photographer and amateur meteorologist, we managed the walk to the church with Kate and her bridesmaids without getting caught in a serious downpour. The church ceremony itself was memorable - the vicar was a real breath of fresh air, had everyone laughing, and made every moment of Kate & Ollie’s ceremony feel relaxed and joyful.

Then came the confetti run outside the church - and this is where our luck finally ran out. Just seconds before Kate & Ollie came running out, pet dog in hand, the heavens well and truly opened. The result? Some amazing photos… and, truth be told, I absolutely loved it - despite getting completely soaked.

From there, everyone made their way to the absolute gem that is Bigstrup Farm. And as you’ll see from the gallery, the day just kept getting better and better.
